Polyester / terylene :
The polyester polymers
have ester linkage joining the repeating units. Commercially the most important polyester fibre is 'terylene' (also called dacron). It is obtained by condensation polymerization of ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid in presence of catalyst at high temperature.
